You can buy no finer top hat. The New Yorker is the top-of-the-line, it is beautifully made, holds its shape almost indefinitely and is the "shiniest" of all! Each Hartmeyer top hat is carefully hand shaped for a professional look and sent to you in a fitted Hartmeyer tote. There is no "give" to a top hat, therefore, you may need to go up a size. To detemine your head size, encircle the largest part of your head just over your eyebrows & refer to the sizing chart.
Size 6 5/8 through 7 3/8 are available immediately. 6 1/2 and 7 1/2 can be special ordered (take 7-14 days to arrive after ordering).
Occasionally, we have a few used top hats in the shop. Depending on quality and condition, they are priced from $195 up.
NOTE: Originally, top hats were made of genuine beaver pelts; they are now made of "long haired silk".

Hartmeyer is devoted to getting your item(s) to you as soon as possible. However orders placed after 1:00pm EST will be shipped in order of priority (Priority,Ground,Economy).

The cost of shipping is shown at checkout. If your shipping cost seems high, please contact our shipping manager at shipping@hartmeyer.com. We strive to match or beat our competitors rates. Please let us know if the price(s), or shipping rates, elsewhere are lower than Hartmeyer's, so that we may have an opportunity to match those prices, in order to better serve you.
If an item is not in stock, we may be able to drop ship the item directly from our supplier in order to fill your order in a timely fashion. There is however, a drop ship fee for any item being shipped in that manner. You will be called and asked if you would like your item drop shipped prior to being charged. If you choose to not have your item drop shipped, your item will be placed on back-order and may be processed later than your chosen shipping time frame/method. In that case, your shipping charges would be changed accordingly.
